How to add a listing and get a local phone number assigned automatically.

Updated June 9, 2026 3 min read

A “property” in Rezi is a single short-term rental listing you manage, a vacation home, a cabin, a beach house, or a city loft. Each property maps to one listing and has its own phone number, knowledge base, and AI settings.

That one-property-one-number design is deliberate. It means a guest at the Lakeside Cabin only ever gets the Lakeside Cabin’s information, never the WiFi password from your downtown loft across town, and it means each property has its own knowledge base and its own settings. Everything in Rezi hangs off the property, so getting this step right makes everything downstream cleaner. For how isolation works in practice, see does knowledge carry across buildings.

  1. 1

    Open Properties → New

From the dashboard, go to Properties and click Add property.

  2. 2

    Enter the basics

Property name, full address, and a contact email. The address determines the area code of the phone number Rezi assigns.

  3. 3

    Connect your calendar

Paste your Airbnb or VRBO iCal link so Rezi tracks availability for the listing. See connect your Airbnb calendar.

  4. 4

    Confirm your phone number

Rezi provisions a local number in your area code so guests text a number that feels familiar. You can request a specific area code if needed.

Naming and addressing your property

Use the name guests actually know, “The Birches” or “412 Oak Street”, because the AI uses it in greetings and confirmations. The address needs to be complete and accurate: it drives the area code of your assigned phone number, and it’s what Rezi references when a guest asks where to park or which entrance to use.

Connecting your calendar

Your calendar is how Rezi knows real availability for the listing. Connect the iCal feed for the property so a date is only quoted as open when nothing blocks it. If you also list the same place on more than one platform, add each platform's feed so every booking is accounted for.

One feed per platform

Connect a calendar feed for each platform you list this property on so Rezi tracks availability accurately. See connect your Airbnb calendar.

About the phone number

Rezi provisions the number automatically, you don’t need any carrier account or telecom knowledge. The number handles both SMS and voice for that property, and it’s yours exclusively, never shared with another property or another customer. If your guests are concentrated in a different area code than the property’s address, you can request a specific area code during creation.

After the property exists

Next, give the property its knowledge base so the AI can answer questions accurately, then connect your calendars so it always quotes real availability. With those two in place, run the go-live checklist and share the number.

Can I change the property’s name or address later?
Yes, both are editable in the property’s settings. If the address change should also change the phone number’s area code, contact support and we’ll help you swap the number.
How many properties can I add?
As many as you list on Airbnb and VRBO. Each property takes only a few minutes once you’ve done your first.
What if my property is a single house?
That is exactly what a property is, a single listing. You get all the features, a dedicated number, a knowledge base, calendar sync, and AI answering.
Can two properties share one phone number?
No, and you wouldn’t want them to. A dedicated number per property is how Rezi knows exactly which listing a caller is asking about, with zero ambiguity.
