Time zone settings

Set your account time zone so timestamps, scheduled messages, and invoice dates display and trigger correctly.

The time zone setting in Rezi is the reference point for all time-sensitive operations: when scheduled messages go out, when invoice due dates are calculated, and how dashboard activity is displayed. An incorrect time zone setting leads to messages sent at the wrong time and confusion about when events occurred.

Setting your time zone

  1. 1

Go to Settings > Account > Time zone

  2. 2

Search for and select your time zone from the dropdown (uses IANA time zone database naming)

  3. 3

Save, all new timestamps and scheduled actions use the new time zone immediately

  4. 4

Existing scheduled messages are not retroactively adjusted

Time zones in Rezi are labeled by region and city (e.g., America/New_York, America/Los_Angeles, America/Chicago). They automatically adjust for daylight saving time, you do not need to manually update for DST changes. Select the region/city closest to your operations to ensure DST transitions are handled correctly.

How time zone affects key features

  • Business hours: interpreted in your configured time zone (9am means 9am in your time zone)
  • Scheduled messages: sent at the time you specify, in your time zone
  • Recurring sends: scheduled broadcasts and reminders fire at the configured time in your time zone
  • Dashboard timestamps: all activity is displayed in your time zone
  • Reports: date ranges in reports use your time zone boundaries

If you manage properties in multiple time zones and your account time zone does not match a property's local time, scheduled messages for that property will send at the time you configured but in your account time zone, not the property's local time. This may result in messages going out at unusual hours for guests in a different zone. Factor this in when scheduling communications.

Property in a different time zone

For example, if your account is set to Pacific time (Los Angeles) but you manage a property in New York, a scheduled message set for 8am will go out at 8am Pacific = 11am Eastern. For that property's guests, the message arrives at 11am, which is fine. But if you set it for 8am meaning 8am Eastern, configure it as 5am Pacific instead. Keep this offset in mind when scheduling time-sensitive communications like pre-arrival notes or checkout reminders.

Does Rezi support Daylight Saving Time automatically?
Yes. Rezi uses the IANA time zone database, which includes DST rules for all regions. Time changes happen automatically at the correct date and time for your configured zone. You do not need to do anything when clocks change.
Can different team members have different time zone views?
Each team member sees timestamps in the account's configured time zone, not their local time zone. There is no per-user time zone override. If team members work across time zones, agree on a reference time zone (typically the primary office) for all shared scheduling.
What time zone are API responses in?
Rezi's API returns all timestamps in UTC (ISO 8601 format). Convert them to your account time zone or the guest's local time zone as needed in your integration.
