New to Rezi? Here are the terms that come up most, in plain English.

Most of Rezi’s vocabulary is deliberately ordinary, a “reservation” is a reservation, but a few words carry a specific meaning inside the product that’s worth pinning down. This page is the reference; every term links onward to a fuller article where one exists. If you hit a term elsewhere in the help center that isn’t obvious, it should be here, and if it isn’t, tell us and we’ll add it.

TermWhat it means
PropertyA single short-term rental listing you manage
Knowledge baseThe facts about a property the AI uses to answer questions
EscalationWhen Rezi hands a conversation to a human
BroadcastA message sent to many guests at once
ReservationA confirmed guest booking, synced from your calendar
InteractionAny text or call conversation with a guest

The structural terms

A property is Rezi’s top-level container and maps to a single listing: each one gets its own phone number, knowledge base, and settings, and they’re fully isolated from each other (more here). Each property carries its own calendar feed so Rezi knows when it is booked.

The conversation terms

An interaction is any conversation, text thread or phone call, between Rezi and a guest. They all live in the Interactions view, which is your single searchable record of everything said. An escalation is the moment Rezi decides a human is needed, because of an emergency keyword, an unknown answer, a frustrated guest, or an explicit “let me talk to a person”, and notifies your on-call contact. Escalations are the heartbeat of the system; how and when Rezi escalates covers the triggers in detail.

The workflow terms

A reservation is a confirmed guest booking, synced into Rezi from your Airbnb, VRBO, or other connected calendars. A broadcast is a one-to-many message to a property’s guests, rate-limited and opt-out-aware, covered in sending broadcasts.

The AI terms

The knowledge base is the set of facts and documents you give each building, and it is the only source the AI draws answers from, no knowledge base entry, no answer, just an escalation. You’ll also see grounded used to describe this: the AI’s answers are grounded in your facts rather than generated from thin air. How the AI works walks through the whole retrieval process in plain English.
