Canceling or pausing your Rezi subscription

What happens when you cancel or pause Rezi, how to retain your data, and how to reactivate.

Updated June 10, 2026 2 min read

Rezi subscriptions can be canceled at any time from the Billing page. Canceling stops future billing but does not immediately delete your account or data, you retain access until the end of the current paid period. This gives you time to export any records you need before the account is fully closed.

Canceling your subscription

  1. 1

Go to Settings > Account > Billing

  2. 2

    Click Cancel subscription

  3. 3

Select a cancellation reason (optional but helps Rezi improve)

  4. 4

    Confirm cancellation

  5. 5

You receive an email confirmation; access continues until the end of the paid period

After the paid period ends, your account enters a read-only state for 30 days. During this window, you can still log in to view and export data, but you cannot send messages, create new records, or use any active features. After 30 days, the account and all associated data are permanently deleted.

Exporting your data before canceling

Before canceling, export any data you want to retain. Rezi's export tools cover: guest and contact records (CSV), and message transcripts (CSV by conversation). Go to each respective section and use the Export option. There is no single one-click full-account export, so plan time to export each data type you need.

Pausing your account

If you need to temporarily stop using Rezi (seasonal property closures, between guests, renovations), you can pause your subscription rather than canceling. A paused account is billed at a reduced rate and retains all data and settings, but AI messaging is disabled. When you unpause, the account resumes full functionality immediately.

Pause is available on annual plans only. Monthly plans do not have a pause option, if you need to stop billing temporarily on a monthly plan, cancel and re-subscribe when ready (your data may not be recoverable after account deletion, so export first).

Reactivating after cancellation

If you cancel and change your mind within the 30-day read-only window, you can reactivate by updating your payment method and selecting a plan. All your data is restored immediately. After the 30-day window, if the account has been deleted, reactivation starts fresh with no historical data.

Is there a cancellation fee?
No. There are no cancellation fees on any Rezi plan. You simply stop being billed at the end of your current period. Annual plans are non-refundable for unused months, but there is no additional cancellation penalty.
What happens to my building number if I cancel Rezi?
Building numbers are provisioned and managed by Rezi. When your account is canceled, the numbers are released, guests who text or call them after cancellation will not reach you. Give guests a replacement contact before canceling so nothing is missed.
Can I transfer my Rezi account to another owner before canceling?
Yes. If you are selling your hosting business and want to transfer the Rezi account to the new owner, use Settings > Account > Transfer ownership. The new owner can then update billing information to their own payment method.
